Study links early infection burden to higher AD risk

A study in JAMA Dermatology found that children who had a higher rate of infection episodes and infection days by age 3 had a greater risk of atopic dermatitis. “Early common infection burden, and in particular upper respiratory infections, were associated with AD in childhood,” researchers said.
